Despite the dreadful weather (in the morning), several members of the group were at Llanthony Priory by 10.15 to set up the GGLC Instant Raffle and Information stand. It was a battle against the elements to keep the prizes, posters and leaflets dry and secured to the table and that was inside the main marquee!!
The march was well attended and arrived at the Priory in a buoyant mood, as by this time the rain had all but stopped and the wind had died.
There were many different stalls around the perimeter and a fairground ride in the Car park. The stage acts were in good voice and kept everyone entertained. We sold all the raffle tickets and every single prize was claimed and we received many compliments about the quality of the prizes.
Mike, Rob, John, Jim, Tony, Richard deserve a special thanks and we were well supported during the day by members of the public and the group who again dug deep in their pockets to give us a final total of £151.60.
Another successful year and we look forward (with fingers crossed for better weather) to next year at Cheltenham
