Members are hereby notified that the above AGM will take place at the GGLC's new meeting place on Wednesday 21st April 8 pm prompt.
Everyone with at least 12 months membership may stand for election to the committee. Nomination forms complete with 2 signatures should be sent or handed to the Secretary prior to the start of the meeting.
There are 4 Chief Officer positions currently in operation:
(a) Chairperson: No election, 2nd year of 2 year term
(b) Vice Chair: Provides assistance and cover for the Chairperson who oversees the day to day running of the society. To be elected for 2 years
(c) Secretary: Responsible for ensuring all records are properly and accurately kept, including inventory and minutes of Committee meetings and all correspondence sent out on behalf of the Group
(d) Treasurer: Maintains proper accounts and ensures that a financial statement is presented to each Committee meeting,
Three other Committee Members will be elected and the positions of Membership Secretary, Health Promotions Officer and Diary Co-ordinator will be agreed at the first Committee meeting of the New Year. Newsletter Editor is also elected at the AGM.
